Partner Education and Employment

Partner Employment

Defence recognises the military lifestyle can present challenges to partners and spouses of ADF members who are seeking meaningful employment. DCO supports the employment of defence partners through the Partner Employment Assistance Program (PEAP).

PEAP provides funding towards initiatives to assist ADF partners with the difficulties of finding employment when the member is relocated on postings or medically transitioning. Eligible partners can apply for up to $1500 funding to access employment related initiatives.

Helpful Hint:

The RSL Queensland Employment Program encourages job seekers to review their CV's on JobScan.

JobScan is an online tool that uses algorithms to compare applicant resumes with position descriptions for matching terms and commonalities. Checking your match rate will give you an indication of how well your resume aligns with a position description. Making small adjustments to your resume can give you the best chance of progressing further in job applications.
